Player Ratings: Udinese – Milan 0-2

Starting XI

Maignan: 6. Always reactive on long-range shots coming his way.

Tomori: 6. Plays his new role as a full-back limiting the damage, even if not a sure defensive bet, and gets forward when he can. He manages to put a ball in front of goal that Bartesaghi and Pulisic fail to convert.

De Winter: 6. Has a generally quiet and uneventful evening.

Pavlovic: 6.5. When Milan are on form and the defence is working well, he proves to be the most decisive player in his department. When Milan don’t show up, he’s just another anonymous defender.

Diawara: 6. Nothing exceptional, but he is young and, as such, he will grow.

Bartesaghi: 6. Taking advantage of his more advanced position, he gets into the box several times, but on these occasions he always fires high.

Jashari: 6. Has a few distracted moments where he misplaces even simple passes, but compensates with a fine defensive recovery towards the end of the first half. His blocked shot allows Hutchinson to tap in the 2-0.

Modric: 6.5. The assist he provides for Pulisic is perfect, though he still has some distracted moments where he makes basic errors. But he is improving, clearly improving.

Pulisic: 7.5. Adds to his goal with brilliant pieces of play that confirm his excellent form.

Hutchinson: 7. In the right place at the right time for 2-0, doing the simplest thing from that position: shoot and score.

G. Ramos: 6. Is one striker who fights and battles throughout the entire match but hardly ever gets a shot on goal really enough?

Substitutes

Loftus-Cheek: 6. Coming on with 20 minutes left, with the result already secured, he doesn’t have enough time to make a big impact. He even wastes a clear chance late on.

Musah: 6. Comes on with conviction, helping with defensive recoveries and energy.

Cisse: n/a.

Comotto: n/a.

Camarda: n/a.

Manager

Manager Amorim: 7. We won and that’s what matters. The icing on the cake: for a good spell, Milan actually played well.
