It’s official: Christian Pulisic has signed a contract renewal with AC Milan. The announcement came yesterday, confirming what had been circulating in Rossoneri circles for weeks. A long-awaited deal, strongly desired by both parties, that ties down one of the most decisive players of the past two seasons in the red and black shirt.
The Contract Figures
According to reports, the new agreement includes a base salary of €6.5 million net per season, supplemented by a substantial package of bonuses tied to both personal and team objectives. Should all bonus targets be met, the total figure could reach €10 million. These are significant numbers, underlining just how central the American winger is to Milan’s long-term technical project.
The Role of the Growth Decree
A key factor in the financial structure of the deal is Italy’s so-called Decreto Crescita (Growth Decree) — a tax incentive that allows clubs to register a reduced gross salary for workers relocating their tax residency to Italy. Thanks to this mechanism, the actual impact on Milan’s books will be considerably lower than the nominal contract value. Far from a minor detail, this plays an important role in the club’s financial sustainability.
Pulisic: A Choice of Heart and Project
Behind the signature lies a clear personal conviction from the American attacker to continue as part of this Milan. Pulisic expressed full confidence in the project being built by Rúben Amorim and the club’s leadership, choosing to commit further to the Rossoneri at a time when the club is in a phase of growth and redefinition. It wasn’t purely financial: continuity, environment and the trust he has been shown all weighed as heavily as the contract itself.
Negotiations over Pulisic’s renewal had already been reported in recent weeks, but now the deal has been closed in the best possible way. The American is a Rossonero for the future.
Starting Tonight in the Derby
The first tangible proof of this renewal’s value comes tonight: Pulisic will start in the derby against Inter. A perfect stage for a player who has never shied away from big matches — and who will want to show once again, from the first minute, that every cent of this deal is well deserved.
