Fofana: Lyon-bound, but surprises can’t be ruled out
Among AC Milan’s final outgoing moves, the transfer of Youssouf Fofana is taking shape. The French midfielder appears close to joining Olympique Lyonnais, with both parties reportedly in the process of exchanging the necessary documentation to finalise the deal. A departure that Milan fans have had time to come to terms with, though a degree of uncertainty still lingers.

In the Fofana deal too, several Premier League clubs are said to have made enquiries, potentially looking to hijack the operation in the final hours available. The player would presumably be willing to accept such a scenario, and some believe his strategy of turning down other clubs is precisely aimed at earning back his place in the Milan squad. It cannot be ruled out that in the coming weeks an intermediary might open a dialogue to resolve the situation in a constructive way.
