Serie A has officially confirmed the schedule for the first five matchdays of the 2025/26 season. For AC Milan, it is a demanding start, featuring two away fixtures in the first three rounds and a schedule that will intersect with European commitments. Here is the full picture.

Matchday 1 – Torino vs Milan

The Rossoneri’s season opens away from home. Sérgio Conceição‘s side will travel to Torino for the opening round, with kick-off set for Sunday 23rd August at 20:45. The match will be broadcast live on both DAZN and Sky. An away opener is never straightforward, but Milan will be aiming to claim all three points straight away and send a clear message to the rest of the division.

Matchday 2 – Milan vs Venezia

After the trip to Torino, the first home match arrives. Milan will host Venezia at San Siro on Friday 28th August at 20:45, broadcast exclusively on DAZN. Worth noting is the unusual time gap: just five days between the first and second matchday, with Milan playing on a Friday for the first time this season.

Matchday 3 – Juventus vs Milan

A big match arrives early. The third round features the classic Juventus vs Milan fixture, another away trip for the Rossoneri, scheduled for Sunday 6th September at 20:45 on DAZN. Three of the first three matches will therefore see Milan face two of the historically toughest opponents in the league — Torino and Juventus — on the road.

Matchday 4 – Lazio vs Milan: time still to be confirmed

For the fourth matchday, Lazio vs Milan, the kick-off time is yet to be officially confirmed and will depend directly on the European schedule. There are two scenarios:

  • If Milan play their first Europa League match on Wednesday 16th September, then Lazio-Milan will take place Saturday 12th September at 18:00.
  • If instead it is Juventus who play in the Europa League on 16th September, then the match will shift to Sunday 13th September at 20:45.

Everything hinges on the definition of European slots: both Milan and Juventus are competing in the Europa League, and the relevant dates will directly influence the Serie A calendar.

Matchday 5 – Milan vs Lecce

The fifth matchday finally brings a more straightforward home fixture: Milan will host Lecce on Sunday 20th September at 20:45. After this match, a particularly long break of approximately three weeks is expected, as the league has combined two international windows into a single pause.

A tough start, but Milan are ready

The opening five-matchday schedule presents more than one challenge: two away fixtures in the first three games — including against Juventus — and a fourth round still tied to European variables. Despite the obstacles, Conceição’s Milan lines up at the start of the season with great determination and desire to make amends after a 2024/25 campaign that fell below expectations. The squad is taking shape, the new technical project is under construction and the enthusiasm around the team is palpable. It all begins on 23rd August: the countdown has already started.
