Tare speaks publicly for the first time since leaving Milan
It has been 17 days since Igli Tare was dismissed from AC Milan’s leadership, on May 25th, alongside Massimiliano Allegri, Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada. Yesterday evening, at an event organised by Old Clan, a Milan supporters’ club, the former sporting director broke his silence and addressed the public for the first time — with words full of emotion and sincerity.
“I feel guilty”: the former DS confesses
Tare did not give a formal interview, but delivered a heartfelt message directly to the fans in attendance. “I feel guilty”, he said, “because in the final matchday we failed to bring Milan into the Champions League”. A courageous statement, reflecting a man willing to take personal responsibility without hiding behind excuses.
He went on to say that, despite the disappointment, working for Milan had been a great honour: “Milan is bigger than everyone and will always remain in my heart”.
