Player Ratings: Milan – Inter 3-1
Starting XI
Maignan: 6.5. In the first half he stands out with a sensational reflex save on Spence. He is also alert for more ‘routine’ saves and coming off his line when called upon.
Gila: 6.5. Grows into the game especially in the second half, where he becomes the symbol of Milan’s defensive solidity on this evening.
Pavlovic: 6. Spends the first half chasing Spence. Holds his own without any notable errors. In the second half he produces some important last-ditch clearances in the six-yard box.
De Winter: 6. Doesn’t always look fully focused, but manages to get through the game one way or another.
Diawara: 6. Has his ups and downs, but proves generally reliable.
Musah: 6.5. Battles hard physically in midfield. Wins the free-kick for the 3-1 converted by Moreira.
Rabiot: 7. His touch for the momentary 2-0 is as beautiful as it is effective.
Modric: 6.5. Very clean in his passing, particularly in the first half. He also proves useful in ball recovery, with sharp interceptions to try to launch the team forward.
Moreira: 8.5. ⭐ Man of the Match. Perfect assists for Pulisic’s opener and Rabiot’s double. Spends the whole match pushing, pressing, crossing and giving everything he has. He crowns it all with a stunning free-kick to make it 3-1.
Pulisic: 7. Heads home the ball to make it 1-0.
G. Ramos: 5.5. His only positive contributions come outside the box with a few decent hold-up plays and recoveries. Inside the box, he never receives a single ball.
