Ristić at Casa Milan: not just Kostić, Vlahović also on the agenda

A busy day at Casa Milan. In the past few hours, Marco Ristić, agent of both Filip Kostić and Dusan Vlahović, paid a visit to the Rossoneri headquarters to complete the paperwork for the new signing from Partizan Belgrade. However, the agent’s visit went beyond just administrative matters: it was also an opportunity to discuss the situation of the Serbian striker currently on the books at Juventus.

Previous contacts: Ristić visited Milan three times last summer

This is not the first time Vlahović’s name has been linked to AC Milan with concrete evidence. During last summer’s transfer window, Ristić made at least three visits to the club’s headquarters to discuss a potential move for the 2000-born centre-forward. The deal, however, fell through primarily due to the player’s very high wage demands.

Contract situation: Juventus renewal still far off

As things stand, little seems to have changed regarding the player’s financial expectations. Vlahović’s demands remain significant, to the extent that a contract renewal with Juventus has yet to be agreed. This scenario inevitably opens a window of opportunity for Milan, who face a crucial decision.

The wage issue: figures higher than Leão and Maignan required

The central issue revolves around salary. Milan would need to decide whether to make an exception to their wage structure, offering the Serbian international figures higher than those earned by the squad’s top earners, namely Rafael Leão and Mike Maignan. Otherwise, the deal risks remaining too complicated to complete.

The final decision must come from the ownership, who will have the last word on an investment of this magnitude. Beyond the salary, there is also the matter of the signing-on fee requested by the player’s entourage.

Why Vlahović would be the perfect signing for Milan

It should be noted that a striker of comparable quality on the market would still command a significant outlay, both in transfer fees and wages that would likely be around €5-6 million per year. Opting for a lower-profile target would mean sacrificing the quality upgrade that the Rossoneri faithful are calling for. Vlahović, with his goalscoring instincts and Serie A experience, would represent an ideal addition to Milan’s attack.

The coming weeks will be decisive: the feeling is that Milan are serious about this, and Ristić’s constant presence at the club is the most tangible proof.
