Adding further complexity is the state of Milan’s attacking department. With Gonzalo Ramos set to be officially unveiled imminently, the club would have four strikers on the books: Ramos, Gimenez, Filip Kostić and Francesco Camarda. Amorim’s preferred 3-4-2-1 system uses a single centre-forward, leaving little room for all four. The Portuguese coach has already made clear that Camarda is very much part of the project, so a departure for at least one of Gimenez or Kostić looks increasingly likely.
Kostić is expected to leave on loan, while for Gimenez a permanent sale is the preferred solution — one that would bring in funds to reinvest in further summer signings.
