Goretzka and Mario Gila: experience at Milan’s service
Milan are moving decisively on the summer transfer market front. As previously reported, Massimiliano Allegri is working closely with the management to plan next season’s squad, and the first names on the notepad have already clearly emerged.
For the midfield, the main profile recommended by the coach is Leon Goretzka. The German midfielder, currently at Bayern Munich, would represent a quality and internationally experienced addition to the Rossoneri engine room. Contacts are reportedly already underway to assess the feasibility of the deal.
In defence, the hot name is Mario Gila, the Spanish centre-back at Lazio. The 2000-born defender has impressed over recent seasons in Serie A, showing solidity and personality. He could be the ideal reinforcement to add further depth to Milan’s backline.
Two Real Madrid jewels on the radar: Valdepenas and Diego Aguado
But Milan are not only looking at experienced profiles. According to Spanish daily Diario AS, the Rossoneri are closely following two young talents from Real Madrid, both aged nineteen.
The first is Víctor Valdepeñas, who is also attracting strong interest from Arsenal and several Bundesliga clubs. The second is Diego Aguado, also monitored by Newcastle. Both profiles fit into the club’s strategy of targeting high-potential youngsters to develop within the Rossoneri project.
Milan’s strategy: the winning mix of experience and youth
Milan’s transfer philosophy is clear and well-defined: to create a balance between experienced players and young talents. An approach that reflects the vision of Allegri and the management, who are convinced that the generational mix is the key to building a team that can compete on all fronts.
A recent example is the signing of Andrija Kostić, which fits precisely into this logic of blending profiles with different levels of experience. Milan want to be protagonists in both Serie A and European competition, and to do so they need a broad, deep and high-quality squad.
The coming weeks will be decisive in determining which of these leads turn into concrete negotiations. The feeling is that Milan have very clear ideas about how to improve the team.
