Galatasaray Return for Leão: €50M Reported Bid
The Rafael Leão saga continues to dominate AC Milan’s transfer window. Reports emerged from Turkey on the evening of yesterday suggesting a renewed interest from Galatasaray in Milan’s number 10, with a bid reportedly in the region of €50 million. A significant figure, but still short of the valuation that the Rossoneri have placed on their Portuguese forward: €60 million — that is what Milan are asking for.
It must be noted that news filtering out of Turkey should always be treated with appropriate caution: the Turkish market is historically one of the most active in terms of rumours, and reports do not always reflect real, advanced negotiations. Nevertheless, the fact that Galatasaray have joined the list of interested clubs — alongside Fenerbahçe, which had already been in contact with Milan — confirms that the Turkish trail is very much alive.
Leão Wants to Leave Milan: The Situation
What now seems reasonably clear is Leão’s own desire to move on. The Portuguese winger has reportedly expressed his wish to experience a new chapter in a different league. A stance that Milan cannot simply ignore — a player who wants to leave rarely performs at his absolute best.
There is also a significant tactical dimension: in Amorim’s preferred system, Leão would be deployed as a wide midfielder, with considerable defensive responsibilities along the flank. A role that does not perfectly suit his characteristics — dribbling, acceleration, creativity — as has been seen on several occasions in the past. Inconsistency in the defensive phase has long been one of the main limitations of the Almada-born forward.
Returns to Milanello: Leão Back, Pulisic Expected Today
On the training ground side of things, Rafael Leão returned yesterday to the training centre where Milan held an open session, alongside fellow Portuguese squad member Gonzalo Ramos. Christian Pulisic, the American forward, is expected at Milanello today after being absent yesterday. Santiago Giménez, the Mexican striker, has already been at Milanello for a couple of days, reaffirming his commitment and dedication to the Rossoneri project.

Milan therefore face a crossroads: accept an offer below their asking price to avoid the card losing further value in the coming months, or hold firm and risk keeping a discontented player in the squad.
