A possible turning point at the top of AC Milan. According to rumours from within the Rossoneri camp, the club is reportedly working on the return of Paolo Maldini with a prominent managerial role within the organisational structure of the Via Aldo Rossi club.
The former captain and AC Milan legend, who enjoyed a legendary career spanning over twenty years in the Rossoneri shirt and won numerous trophies, could return to take on an operational role in the sporting department, with direct responsibilities in technical and transfer market decisions.
Rumours of his return have intensified after Maldini was reportedly spotted at Casa Milan, fuelling speculation about a possible reshuffle of the club’s management structure.
For Maldini, it would be a significant return: between 2019 and 2023 he had already served as technical director, playing a key role in building the squad that won the Scudetto in the 2021-2022 season.
A potential return of the historic Rossoneri legend would also carry strong symbolic value. Maldini is widely regarded as one of the greatest embodiments of AC Milan’s tradition and identity, and his involvement could bring back to the club that sense of belonging that many fans continue to call for.
At this stage, not all the details of the possible appointment have been disclosed, but the prospect of seeing Maldini back in the Rossoneri management is already sparking great enthusiasm among a large portion of the fanbase.
