AC Milan, training resumes ahead of Verona
After the defeat against Napoli and the heavy loss to Udinese, AC Milan wasted no time in turning the page. Massimiliano Allegri has already restructured the weekly schedule: the second training session was cancelled after the manager personally observed a positive response from the players in the morning session, a rest day was granted, and from Thursday the squad returns to work with full intensity ahead of the next league fixture.
The target is the away trip to Verona, scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 PM. A match that, on paper, leaves little room for interpretation: Milan must win.
Verona, bottom of the table: no excuses
Hellas Verona head into this fixture sharing last place in the standings alongside Pisa. The Veneto side are enduring an extremely difficult season and represent, at least on paper, one of the most accessible opponents in the final stretch of the campaign. For Milan, fighting to secure a Champions League berth, this is a game that must be approached with the right mindset and converted into three points.
Dropping points against a bottom-of-the-table side is not simply a mistake — it would send a dangerous signal at a crucial moment of the season. Allegri knows it, and his players must know it too.
Champions League in sight
With six matchdays still to play, the race for fourth place — and therefore qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League — is far from over. Milan still have every chance of achieving the season’s minimum objective: returning to play a leading role in Europe’s premier club competition.
Winning in Verona would be an important step — a show of character after recent disappointments. The Rossoneri squad has the quality to do it: it is up to Allegri to find the right tactical and motivational combinations to bring the three points home. The fans believe in it, and Milan are ready to respond on the pitch.
