Comotto and Camarda: Meeting With New Management and Future at the Club
This morning, at AC Milan’s headquarters at Casa Milan, a transfer summit took place between the club’s new management and the entourage of Cristian Comotto and Francesco Camarda, both represented by GR Sport agency run by Giuseppe Riso. The meeting clarified the club’s intentions regarding the two young talents.
AC Milan’s New Structure Gets Acquainted
The summit served primarily as an opportunity for the players, their agents, and the club’s new management figures to get to know each other. On the Milan side, Bobby Gardiner, Almstad, Lomonte and other members of the transfer market team were present — all promoted or brought in as part of the new structure built by Gerry Cardinale. A formal but fundamental step to set the right tone for the dialogue between the club and those who manage the players.
Pre-Season With Amorim: A Major Opportunity
The most significant news from the meeting is that both players will take part in AC Milan’s pre-season camp under Rúben Amorim. The new Portuguese head coach, who has so far only been able to follow them through video footage, wants to assess them in person, working with them throughout pre-season training and summer friendly matches.
Amorim’s philosophy is clear: no rushed decisions, but an honest and concrete on-pitch evaluation. Only after this phase will their future be determined, also depending on the club’s transfer activity — any arrivals in those positions could naturally affect the available playing time.
Camarda Looks to Bounce Back After Injury
Francesco Camarda, the 2008-born striker regarded as one of Italian football’s most exciting prospects, endured a difficult season on loan at Lecce. A shoulder injury disrupted his development, limiting him to just one goal — against Bologna — across the entire campaign. Despite this, the young centre-forward arrives at pre-season with a burning desire to bounce back and the determination to earn a place in Amorim’s squad.
Cristian Comotto, meanwhile, returns from a loan spell at Spezia, where he gained valuable experience and important minutes for his growth. For him too, pre-season will be a crucial test to prove he deserves a shirt — or at least a meaningful role — in the new AC Milan.
AC Milan’s Confidence in Their Own Talents
The club expressed great satisfaction with both players and a clear intention to invest in them. In a project aimed at building a competitive squad for the 2026-27 Europa League under Amorim’s guidance, homegrown talents represent a precious resource — both technically and economically. AC Milan believes in its young players, and this meeting is a concrete demonstration of that commitment.
