Player Ratings: Bournemouth – Milan, 2-0

Starting XI

Maignan: 4.5. The Milan captain cannot get himself sent off like any old fool.

Pavlovic: 5.5. No glaring mistakes, which — considering his teammates’ performances — already counts for something.

De Winter: 4.5. Stupidly gives away the penalty for 1-0, from a corner caused by his own error. In the second half he makes a couple of decent clearances, then gives away the free kick for 3-0. If he’s not the worst defender in Milan’s history, he’s pretty close.

Tomori: 5. Distracted, imprecise and unreliable. A complete regression from what was once Milan’s best defender.

Estupinan: 5. Increasingly embarrassing defensively, and offensively he never even reaches the opposition box.

Musah and Jashari: 5.5. Nowhere to be seen, neither in containment nor in build-up play.

Moreira: 5.5. Occasionally tries to run and get forward. Generally the most active of the bunch, but nothing comes of it.

Loftus-Cheek: 5. Useless and painful to watch. Business as usual, in other words.

Hutchinson: 5.5. Head down and crash into Bournemouth’s defenders — that sums up his dreadful match.

Cisse: 5.5. Never even touched the ball.

Substitutes

Torriani: 5.5. What do you expect from a goalkeeper thrown on in a desperate situation? Nothing.

Rabiot: 5.5. Coming on with the result already gone, it’s hard to do much. Although, in theory, he could at least get his passes right. And yet, even that proved too much.

Bartesaghi: 5. In 1v1 situations he either just about holds on, or goes to ground like a professional sack of potatoes.

Diawara: n/a.

Manager

Manager Amorim: 4.5. He wasn’t the one on the pitch, but he is the one fielding clearly inadequate players. Oh, and who knows what he found so funny when it was 3-0.
