Ahead of the match against Pisa, which kicks off the eighth round of the league, AC Milan is preparing to take the field with a partly renewed lineup compared to the recent clash against Fiorentina. Coach Massimiliano Allegri has made some tactical adjustments, opting to replace Fikayo Tomori with Koni De Winter in defense, a simple turnover that will allow the player to regain energy.
In attack, Santiago Gimenez is set to return to the starting eleven, partnering with the talented Rafael Leão. This move not only enriches the offensive line but also provides Allegri with the flexibility to adjust strategy during the match. It is also expected that Christopher Nkunku will be back, starting from the bench.
In midfield, the lineup is likely to consist of Alexis Saelemaekers, Youssouf Fofana, Samuele Ricci, Luka Modrić, and Davide Bartesaghi, the latter stepping in for Pervis Estupiñán, who is still sidelined with injury. In defense, alongside De Winter, will be Matteo Gabbia and Strahinja Pavlović, forming a strong and organized defensive block.
Regarding Ruben Loftus-Cheek, recent training sessions have shown that the midfielder is not yet ready to be included in the squad, and his spot will be taken by young Sala. With these choices, Allegri seems keen on fielding a balanced team ready to secure vital three points against Pisa.
